Dr. Mitch Colp
Dr. Mitch is a Registered Psychologist who obtained his Ph.D. in School and Applied Child Psychology from the University of Calgary. His graduate training and research primarily focused on how individuals build resiliency and effectively navigate large challenges in life.
Since completing his clinical training, Dr. Mitch has occupied both leadership and clinical roles in the greater Calgary area. Through his work with public school boards, private schools, and clinics, he has gained extensive experience in the psychological assessment and counselling of children, youth, and adults.
Recognizing the importance of giving back to his community, Dr. Mitch holds several academic positions with Ambrose University, Cape Breton University, St. Mary's University, the University of Calgary, and the University of Lethbridge. He also organizes and teaches coursework across Canada on psychological assessment and mental health intervention.
Dr. Mitch is an avid curler and dog-lover. He lives in Airdrie with his wife Jennifer, enjoys playing his guitar, and believes that in an alternative reality he would have wound-up being a DJ.
