Wendy is a Registered Psychologist from Nova Scotia who completed her Master of Arts in School Psychology at Mount Saint Vincent University. Her graduate research focused on the development and pride and guilt in children and her graduate internships centred around both rural schools and schools with diverse populations.
Wendy began her professional career working as a School Psychologist where she provided assessment, consultation services and counselling services for children and youth in rural areas with limited resources. Following her time working in the school system, Wendy worked for Child & Youth Mental Health where she provided mental health counselling and assessment to children, youth and families. In 2017, Wendy began working solely in private practice focusing on counselling and assessment for children, youth, and university/college students. Wendy has a particular interest in helping clients figure out how their mental health, learning or attentional difficulties may be affecting their general sense of wellness, school performance and their relationships. Wendy works from a strengths-based approach and always works with the goal of helping clients learn how to make life, relationships and school easier to manage.
Wendy has two children and lives in Nova Scotia with her beloved Border Collie Beau. She enjoys hiking, camping and attending live music events.
